The BD&P Emerging Director Program is an extraordinary program
developed through a unique partnership between leading Canadian law
firm Burnett, Duckworth and Palmer (BD&P) and Lunchbox Theatre.
This collaboration affords a special opportunity for Calgary theatre artists who are in the initial stages of their careers to advance their talents and artistic skills through a combination of mentorship and hands-on experience.
The Emerging Director will act as Assistant Director on two of Lunchbox Theatre’s 07/08 productions, and will then direct a showcase production at the conclusion of the season. The script for this production will be chosen jointly by the Emerging Director and Lunchbox Theatre’s Artistic Director. There will be four public performances from May 15-17, 2008, including an invited-only ‘industry night’, designed to showcase the Emerging Director’s work to other industry professionals.
