Visual artists invade the +15 skywalks!

Fifteen feet above the Calgary streets hangs a web of controversy. The world’s largest skywalk system is sometimes blamed for downtown’s lacklustre street life, but it’s a welcome haven from -30°C blizzards... not to mention the perfect venue for vivid public art.

In this first-time Rodeo collaboration, six local artist-run centres – ACAD’s Marion Nicoll Gallery, The New Gallery, Stride, TRUCK and the Untitled Arts Society – team up to flood the +15 hallways with cutting-edge visual art. Throughout January, the rabbit-themed installations-in-progress will morph and grow, so stroll down the tunnel to watch Calgary’s emerging artists in action. Join the Artists and participating organizations for a wine and cheese reception at the site of the exhibit from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
