SERJ TANKIAN: Serj Tankian is a Lebanese-born Armenian-American singer, songwriter, poet, activist, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead vocalist, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist of the alternative metal band System of a Down. In 2002, Serj and Tom Morello co-founded a non-profit political activist organization, Axis of Justice. During his entertainment career, he released five albums with System of a Down, one with Arto Tunçboyacıyan (Serart), and also recently a solo album, Elect the Dead, on October 23, 2007.

One of the most unconventional frontmen in rock, System Of A Down singer Serj Tankian emerges as a solo artist with his debut album Elect The Dead. System Of A Down, whose five genre-bending studio albums have sold over 16 million copies, went on an extended hiatus in August 2006. Since then, Tankian has been holed up in his home studio in Los Angeles writing, recording, and producing Elect The Dead. It is an album that showcases the writing and arranging prowess of a man best known for his inimitable vocals, incisive lyrics, and unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes. FAIR TO MIDLAND

Fair to Midland is an American rock band formed in 1998. They are currently signed to Serj Tankian's Serjical Strike label. According to the band's official website, their name comes from "...an old Texan play on the term 'fair to middling'." The group has released three albums and an EP. Live at Coachella 2007 the band performed a live improvisational version of their song "Walls of Jericho" featuring the guest vocals of Serj Tankian. More about Fair to Midland...
