He's smart, he's young and he's as sweet as his name suggests. Sugar Sammy was voted best stand-up in 2004, 2005 & 2006 by the readers of The Montreal Mirror. He has set attendance records for his live performances in downtown Montreal and surrounding area. Now, Sammy is also taking the rest of the comedy world by storm with recent performances in Hollywood, Las Vegas and London, England. His edgy outlook explores the dichotomy between life in a conventional East-Indian home and his experience as a trendy nightclub promoter. Touching on subjects like arranged marriage and his Indian ancestry as well as his views on deviant sex, drugs, failed relationships and society at large, Sammy's two worlds make for one unforgettable comedy experience!

Sugar Sammy has made numerous TV appearances and has performed at The Hollywood Comedy Festival in Los Angeles, at the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Just For Laughs Festival, the Capetown Comedy Festival and recently opened for Dave Chappelle. Sugar Sammy is one of the hottest comics working today.

Sammy has been voted the Number 1 comedian in Montreal by readers of the Montreal Mirror, as well as winning Best of Show for the Just For Laughs Festival. He has performed in the US, England, Ireland, Holland, Hong Kong, Thailand, Dubai, the Philippines and South Africa. His 2007 one man show in South Africa had ticket sales topping 10,000, and he has stated his opening for Dave Chappelle in the fall of 2006 as a personal career highlight. In early 2006, Sugar Sammy appeared on MuchMusic's Video On Trial. Sammy has also appeared on The Comedy Network, Canada's CTV, and a Dutch television network. He has become a staple at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and also performs at the Montreal International Comedy Fest.
