EDDIE BLACK was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Eddie is a talented songwriter and musician. As a young child he started in piano lessons and then started to play alto sax as a junior in the school band. He started learning the guitar and bass guitar and found these insrtuments exciting to play. Eddie had begun songwriting & performing at: 12 years old. Eddie was exposed to and grew up listening to all types of music, from oldies to classic rock, alternative, country and blues. He started building his foundation in music by joining the school band in 7th grade. Eddie has had the opportunity to display his talents throughout his teen years. Eddie also started creating his own music and finally his dream of recording a professional album became a reality. Eddie produced his own solo album in 2003, “18 Years After”. Eddie spent 8 months working on recording his album. As well as having written each of the songs, he also shows his multi talents by playing the bass, electric guitar and singing on this album. Eddie has been involved in many areas in entertainment and productions. In 2001 Eddie was hired to create instrumental music for the purpose of intros on audio books for Aurora Publishing. Eddie, in recent years has spent a majority of his time as a working musician and music teacher. Eddie has organized events for fundraising to help the Children's Miracle Network and he also has donated several hundred wrapped CD's for people who are stuck in the hospitals in Alberta over the Christmas season to cheer them up. Eddie believes that by sharing his music with those who need it most is truly a privilege for him to offer and the opportunity to lift someone up and brighten their day. Eddie enjoys songwriting and performing music. Music is Eddie's passion and next to his family, he loves to be involved in it daily. He couldn't be happier doing anything else.
