DJ Z-Trip (born Zach Sciacca) is a Phoenix, Arizona native, he was known early in his career for performing with the Bombshelter DJs (DJ Emile, DJ Radar, and DJ Z-Trip). He became widely known when his collaboration with DJ P, Uneasy Listening, Vol. 1, was released in 2001. Only 2000 copies were made, but the album was soon distributed over the Internet in MP3 format. His most recent release, Shifting Gears, marked his major label debut, and was his first full length album of production work. Released on Hollywood Records in 2005, the album features guest artists Supernatural, MURS, Lyrics Born, Luke Sick, Aceyalone, Mystic, Prince Whipper Whip, Busdriver, Chester Bennington (from Linkin Park), Chuck D (from Public Enemy) and Soup (from Jurassic 5). Z-Trip is featured in the 2001 documentary Scratch and is found in special features showing off some technique. Z-Trip contributed several pieces of work to EA Games' release Skate. He performs with Serato Scratch Live as well as traditional vinyl. As of August 2006, Z-Trip has left Hollywood Records.

DJ Z-Trip (born Zach Sciacca) hails from the mashup school of hip hop, yet is fluent in many types of party DJing, such as techno and classic rock. A Phoenix, Arizona native, DJ Z-Trip became widely known over the internet when his collaboration with DJ P, Uneasy Listening Vol. 1, was released in 2001. Only 2000 copies were made of this illicit mash up session recorded in a San Francisco nightclub by Future Primitive, but the album was soon distributed over the Internet in MP3 format. Z-Trip was later officially commissioned by Rush to remix Tom Sawyer for the Small Soldier's soundtrack, and he was featured in the DJ film & DVD of Doug Prey's "Scratch". DJ Z-Trip's most recent release, Shifting Gears, marked his major label debut. Released on Hollywood Records in 2005, the album features guest artists Supernatural, Murs, Lyrics Born, Luke Sick, Aceyalone, Mystic, Prince Whipper Whip, Busdriver, Chester Bennington (from Linkin Park), Chuck D (from Public Enemy) and Soup (from Jurassic 5).

A new collaboration with Lateef was released in May 2007 called "Ahead of the Curve". A preview track "Mass Hysteria" is currently posted on Z-Trip's website, along with the preview track "Doin' It Like This" from the All Pro soundtrack.

Z-Trip is one of the biggest DJ's of our time. Doing over 100 shows a year, every year. He is also known as the founding father of the mash-up movement. His early independent releases have become highly sought after collectibles. Uneasy Listening fetches as much as $500.00 on eBay.

No other DJ can claim playing to 500,000 people opening for the Rolling Stones at Sars-stock in Toronto, playing the Bonaroo main stage to over 70,000 people 2 years in a row in addition to headlining a tent at Coachella twice. He's also been busy around the world doing the Good Vibrations Festival in Australia 2006, as a headliner. All of this in addition to his US and international headlining sold out shows, and multiple club residencies. More about Z TRIP...
